Botanical Candle Care and Burning Tips:
This candle is made with a separate wax inset, or core, which is wrapped in flame retardant paper. This paper is semi- transparent and does not affect the glow or the burning attributes of the candle.
Environmental impact wan minimized wherever possible in the making of these candles. Proceeds for the sales of thes candles go into supporting organizations devoted to the well being of natural open spaces and wildlife. In addition to recycling all the plastic, metal, glass and cardboard used in its production facility, the company also uses biodegradable shipping popcorn and when possible reuses shipping materials. Natural products like beeswax and vegetable waxes are used and poured with a soy wax blend. Our glass bottles contain 40% recycled glass.
This candle has high fragrance content please do not place directly onto furnishings or linens.
The first time you light your candle burn it for several hours until a large well has formed. We recommend that this "candle well" be approximately 2 1/2" in diameter. Note: If you do not develop a large well your candle will not have enough oxygen to stay lit.
Subsequently burn no more than 2-3 hours at a time.
Before lighting trim your wick to 1/4", and clear any debris that may have accumulated in the candle well.
Always keep the wick centered. If it becomes off-center extinguish the flame and pull the wick back to the middle of the well.
Burn on a level, non-flammable service. We recommend the use of candleholders or candleholder plates.
Avoid drafts (windows, fans etc.) & keep away from flammable materials (like curtains).
We do not recommend burning candles to the very bottom. When 1"-2" of Botanical Candle remains discontinue use.
Each candle is hand produced in Denver, CO. The entire process of pouring, stuffing, repouring, melting the edges, wrapping the candle take two whole days! These Botanical candles are just too complex to be massed produced.
In 2008 Rosy Rings donated 15% of its profits to the following charities: The National Resources Defense Counsel, Wild Bird, The Elephant Sanctuary, World Wildlife Fund, American Bird Conservancy, The Humane Society of United States and the MAX Fund.
...these are just some of the reasons why we love being able to offer our local favorite, Rosy Ring Candles, to you!
