Replacement Policy: If you wish to replace an item purchased from CoffeeCakes.com please contact us explaining the reason for the replacement and we will arrange for a replacement item to be sent to you. You may be asked to RETURN the item to the address below. All replacement requests must by made within 30 days of delivery. We are unable to offer a replacement or refund on any of our flowering gifts and/or plants and/or perishable food products and/or or orders outside of the 30 day delivery window. Shipping charges are nonrefundable.
Refund Policy: If you wish to have a refund for an item purchased from CoffeeCakes.com please contact us explaining the reason for the refund. You may be asked to RETURN the item to the address below, although we do not accept refunds on perishable food items. Refunds will be issued by a credit to the purchasing credit card. Please expect your refund within 7 to 10 business days following your request and, if you are returning an item, 7 to 10 days following the receipt of the returned item. All refund requests must be made within 30 days of delivery. We are unable to offer a replacement or refund on any of our flowering gifts and/or plants and/or perishable food products and/or orders outside of the 30 day refund window. Shipping or Delivery Guarantees:
Since we must rely on our shippers to get your orders to you, once your order leaves CoffeeCakes.com it is out of our control. CoffeeCakes.com is unable to control our shippers and/or offer any shipping or delivery guarantees. We can only tell you when we expect your order to arrive based on the information we receive from our shippers. CoffeeCakes.com cannot give any delivery or service guarantees.
We reserve the right to substitute an item of equal or greater value if necessary. If, after taking your order, an item becomes unavailable, we may substitute an item of equal or greater value.
Special Packaging Charge:
If we are unable to ship your package within our published freight rates we reserve the right to assess a "special packaging charge". The customer will be notified IN ADVANCE before any special packaging charges are ever applied and given the decision to accept the additional charge or not. This charge is only put in place when the cost to ship a package far exceeds the cost paid by the customer. This allows us to keep our shipping and handling rates lower for the majority of our customers and to split the cost of the shipping and handling charges for the select few packages we might have outside our standard shipping and handling charges.
Please check all of your addresses carefully. We can only guarantee delivery to addresses we are given. Additional fees will be charged to redirect packages when incomplete or incorrect information is given.
A customer may cancel an order at anytime. If the order has already been shipped the customer will be responsible for paying a $10 order intercept fee or the freight charges to have the order returned to us, whichever is greater. It is best to cancel an order before it is shipped so that you do not incur any of these fees.
Refusing a Package:
Customers should not refuse a package unless they are willing to pay all shipping charges, to and from the customer. If a package is refused by a customer, the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges, to the customer and back to CoffeeCakes.com.
To cover the extra handling costs to take items back into inventory and relist for sale, CoffeeCakes.com charges a 20% restocking fee for returned items that are not damaged, defective or materially different.

We make every effort to charge actual shipping rates that we are charged. We do not mark up our shipping rates. Since we have been in business for many years, and our business continues to grow, we benefit from significant shipper discounts with our shippers based on our high volume, this allows us to pass along shipping savings to you!
In the wake of the popularity of “Friends, in 1995 three friends in Denver decided to open the Mile High City’s premiere Internet Coffeehouse, Majordomo’s Net Café. With an eye toward providing uncompromising customer service Majordomo’s, Inc. took its name from the head (Major) of the house (Domo), a butler dedicated to taking care of each customer’s needs and desires. In an age when quality customer service seemed to be on the decline, Majordomo’s prided itself on being able to fill the void.
In 1997, after hearing for years from customer after customer how delicious our coffeecakes were, we decided to offer our gourmet coffeecakes and coffeehouse fare online at CoffeeCakes.com.
In 2000, after surviving the “dot-com” boom and bust, it became apparent that our customers were more interested in sending our gourmet items as gifts online, prompting us to reevaluate where we set up shop. We closed our retail storefront in order to focus solely on our electronic commerce storefront, transitioning successfully from bricks and mortar to clicks and mortar in the burgeoning Internet world.
In 2002, CoffeeCakes.com was rated “Best Overall” in a secret shopper comparison conducted by the Wall Street Journal in search of the perfect travel mug when compared to Amazon.com, Brookstone.com, Kitchens Etc. and Cooking.com.
